Our Work: Protecting Wildlife in Emergencies
The Wildlife Emergency Fund is at the forefront of wildlife rescue and conservation efforts. Here are some of the critical areas we focus on:

Emergency Response
We provide immediate assistance to wildlife affected by natural disasters, park breakouts, and poaching.

Conservation Efforts
Our conservation efforts help maintain strong genetics and animal relocation to help ensure responsible wildlife management.

Rehabilitation and Release
Our dedicated network of veterinarians and caretakers rehabilitates injured animals and ensures they are healthy enough to return to the wild.

Community Engagement
We partner with local communities to promote sustainable practices and raise awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation.

Research and Advocacy
Through research and advocacy, we aim to influence policies and practices that benefit wildlife and their habitats.
Our Network of Agents
The WEF strongly believes that in order to successfully save wildlife, the best team possible needs to be deployed emergency scenarios. We have therefore strategically appointed specialists across Southern Africa as ‘WEF Rescue Agents.
These agents are in fact appointed based on very specific criteria which includes level of experience, passion and most of all their compassion for animals at risk. We pride ourselves in working with some of the best conservationists in Africa, to achieve the best possible results.
